As Head Chef, you will be responsible for Floor17 as if it were your own business, but with the security of a permanent job! During the day, you will manage the kitchen team, making sure the mise en place is just right and the breakfast goes off without a hitch. You will also take care of the timetable, the HACCP lists, orders and the menus for our meeting & events department. In the evening, you and your team are ready for anything. Together, you work on beautiful dishes for both restaurant, rooftop and event spaces. You carefully prepare the dishes and only serve them when every detail on the plate is right.

You use your creativity to create innovative and varied menus together with the Executive Chef. We choose only the best and most responsible products. The fish comes from our own North Sea, the meat from Vechtdal and the artisanal bread from Amsterdam. You will work closely with our Restaurant Manager, F&B manager and Executive Chef to provide guests with an unforgettable culinary experience. Together with your team, you are determined to take Floor17 to an even higher level. We are open to your ideas, which makes our team strong and unique!
WHAT DO YOU BRING?
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position, this can also mean that you are ready for the next step from a position as Sous Chef or Independent Working Chef;
  • You have knowledge of different cooking techniques and products, making you an inspiration to the team;
  • Everything clean and safe? Experience with HACCP is desirable and, alongside culinary skills, is the main pillar in our kitchens;
  • Besides managing a team, you also know how to tackle things yourself;
  • Cooking is fun for you!

  • A salary between EUR 3,400 to EUR 3,600 per month based on 38 hours per week depending on experience;
  • A 15% weekend allowance and a 70% reimbursement of travel expenses if you live further than 10 kilometres from work;
