Inventory Controller [Australia]


 

Our Client is a leading Australian brand with a suite of well-known supermarket & healthcare products. Founded 30 years ago by a reputable industry professional, the business has grown to export to over 25 countries with warehouses in 3 continents with products in over 8,000 storefronts in Australia. As an integral member of their Macksville based operations team, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Inventory Controller to take ownership of the planning and management of inventory within the organisation.

The position entails liaising with warehouse, vendors and internal stakeholders across multiple departments to achieve targets and ensure inventory decisions are cost effective whilst meeting KPI and SLA metrics. The role will work closely within the supply chain team tracking all inventory movements.

Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Planning and coordinating inventory demand and supply, through monthly sales and operations planning (S&OP) process in collaboration with the Sales team
  • Analysing and maintaining replenishment process to optimal inventory levels
  • Proactively solving inventory problems and providing timely resolution to ensure minimal impact to the customer
  • Monitoring inventory accuracy by coordinating regular stocktakes or through cycle counting
  • Working to achieve company KPI's / objectives relating to inventory management (inventory value, record accuracy, stock availability, back orders etc)
  • Inventory analysis and reporting
  • Vendor and stakeholder engagement
To be considered for this role you will ideally hold a degree qualification in business, supply chain or a related field. You will have experience as an Inventory Controller ideally gained in a FMCG company with sound knowledge of stock management. You will have excellent understanding of Sales and operations planning (S&OP) process with strong numeracy, accuracy and Excel skills. You will be results-driven with solid planning and organisational skills to execute tasks and identify priorities. Importantly you will have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and be a highly organised person who thrives in a fast-paced environment where time and task management skills are paramount. Sage Evolution and Netstock experience are desirable but not essential.

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm and the position is open for immediate commencement. A competitive salary will be offered commensurate with experience.
