As a Communications Coordinator, you will provide practical support to the Olympic Refuge Foundation Communications Manager. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone starting out their career in the area of international relations, development communications or equivalent, with some work experience in the areas of social development or communications. We strongly encourage applications from individuals with lived experience of displacement.

Main responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of the engagement strategy and in the development of contents and publications (including maintenance of the ORF website and social media)
  • Support the implementation of a wide range of campaigns and initiatives for the Foundation
  • Provide project and administrative support to the Communications Manager
  • Administrative support (Management of the database, correspondence, customer service related with the ORF public facing platforms)
  • Copywriting for a wide range of ORF channels including publications, press and media, website or other digital channels.
  • Monitoring and reporting on ORF Communications activities.

Our requirements
  • University qualification, or equivalent experience, preferably in the area of international relations, development and / or media and communications
  • Complete familiarity with IT software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (presentations). Knowledge of Adobe Design packages such as InDesign and Photoshop desirable.
  • Digitally savvy, with good working knowledge of social media and content management systems.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent copywriting skills. French and other languages desirable.
  • Interest and or experience working in displacement context or with people affected by displacement.

  • Excellent command of the “corporate” tools and follows the internal usage rules (OneDrive, Outlook, etc.).
